Dan Sheppard's 35 years as a creative professional have taken him from Madison Avenue to Rhode Island by way of several consumer and business to business ad agencies.
His career path began as a commercial producer and art director for Folger's Coffee, People Magazine, Jeep, Heublein, and Iberia Airlines, to name a few.
Taking a decade of consumer background to Rhode Island, he served as Creative Director at two of the area's leading business-to-business ad agencies before joining Ed Nowak and Jaime Leger to form SLN.
Dan's talents span strategic brand concepting, positioning, writing, and design. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.
Out of the office, Dan enjoys escaping to the Adirondacks, biking, drawing, and gardening.
Jaime Leger vaulted into the business world with a degree and a passion for extreme client service.
Jaime's journey to the forefront of his own company began in the most unusual way - as an intern. Two decades later, with an MBA under his arm, he still works with many of the same clients with whom he started almost twenty years ago.
Over the course of his career, Jaime's entrepreneurial drive has resulted in growing many clients’ businesses, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, across both the B2B and B2C.
Jaime serves on many committees including the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF) at UMass Dartmouth. He is currently a guest speaker on Social Media Marketing, and is the President of the newly formed Providence Chapter of the International Social Media Club.
As one of the founding partners of Sheppard Leger Nowak, Ed Nowak’s vision for SLN has always been to provide clients with direct, all-inclusive marketing services that yield far-reaching solutions.
With marketing and advertising experience that spans over four decades, Ed believes that SLN’s success is primarily due to the high quality of the company’s talented staff.
For 18 consecutive years, Ed has overseen consistent growth and prosperity of SLN’s clients.
Ed is married with two sons and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he is an accomplished trumpet player and a member of the Rhode Island Wind Ensemble.
He also breeds and races Standardbred harness racing horses on his farm in Taunton, Mass.
Tony Campo is the Senior Art Director for SLN. Since joining the agency in 2005, his passion for graphic design and quiet, “can-do” attitude has become a staple of the agency's success.
In the course of a career spanning nearly three decades, Tony has worked for several in-house marketing departments in New England and has freelanced for some very prestigious agencies and corporations. When it comes to his current place of work, however, Tony couldn't imagine being anywhere else.
Tony's creative background gives him a unique insight into the needs and expectations of clients, enabling him to develop world-class creative solutions for a wide variety of clients across many major industries.
Tony graduated from Rhode Island College with a double-major B.A. In graphics and photography, with a minor in art history. He also holds an A.F.A. from the Community College of Rhode Island.
When he is not at work, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is known to enjoy the blues and a couple of cold Sam Adams every now and then.
Tony lives in North Providence.
Marina Dippel is the Social Media Services Director at SLN. She works with our B2B clients in the technology and manufacturing sectors, developing social media marketing strategies to drive customer engagement and loyalty. Her experience with social media & online community management spans the business, technology, and education sectors.
Marina took her first social media road test in 2004, when facilitating online discussions and collaboration networks for the eLearning program with the Stanford University and the Microsoft UnlimitedPotential (UP) partnership while working for the PH International. Prior to joining us, she worked with Cymfony of WPP’s Kantar Media Group, a market influence analytics company providing social & traditional media insights to Fortune 500 clients.
Marina has a Master’s in Public & International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA in Marketing & Sustainability from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Chris Sheppard joined SLN in October 2014 as a content developer and videographer. Chris specializes in all types of corporate videography, illustration, and telling the stories of clients and their products through sharable social media videos.
Chris has worked with businesses small and large to develop compelling multimedia content that audiences love and remember. In working with clients, Chris takes a problem-solution approach to developing messaging that is meaningful and far-reaching. Whether it’s helping you support your existing business objectives or reaching new markets and customers, Chris is a one-stop shop when it comes to getting you the multimedia assets you need.
Chris earned his B.A. from University of Rhode Island in 2011, where he graduated with honors.
As Office Manager of Sheppard Leger Nowak Inc., Michelle Aguiar coordinates many of the logistics that make SLN’s business possible. She handles accounts payable/receivable, makes sure that office supplies are well stocked and coordinates media placements for clients with print publications.
Michelle attended Rhode Island College and spent over 13 years with the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce as Membership Director, she was an Events Coordinator at Brown Universityand has a background in insurance/investments after having worked for Bank Of America and Bay State Financial.
Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband Emanuel and their two children, Madelyn and Mason. She is a lifelong resident of East Providence.
Ashley Jerome joined SLN in February of 2017 as a Digital Marketing Specialist. She brings a broad skill set in social media, content marketing, blogging, SEO, web design, and project management. She has a passion for creativity and applying it to the technology-driven world.
Prior to joining SLN, Ashley was the Online Operations Manager at a higher ed IT consulting company and has worked for the web team and Center for Marketing Research at UMass Dartmouth. She has also served as a mentor at the very first Startup Weekend event in São Miguel, Azores.
Ashley has a B.S. in Computer Information Science and an MBA with a Marketing concentration from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
In her spare time, Ashley finds enjoyment in crocheting, quilting, board games, and everything DIY.
Bob Mayoh has worked in marketing communications positions, with special emphasis in public relations, since 1982. He is a Senior Account Supervisor at SLN and manages several agency accounts including Bosch Thermotechnology.
Bob first entered the private sector after serving six years in the Air Force. Over the ensuing years, he worked for a then-major chamber of commerce in RI, a two-state, staff-model HMO, a national home health care provider, and several R.I. and Florida advertising agencies.
Previously, Bob has held positions at the Gorman Group and Chaffee & Partners, both of Providence, R.I., and Cook Marketing Communications of Jacksonville, F.L. At Cook, he ran the agency’s public relations department and supervised PR accounts ranging from the Florida Prepaid College Plan to Winn-Dixie Supermarkets.
Bob is also the author of Wind on the Sail: The Life and Times of John Hazen White.
As the owner of IdeaGraphics, Inc. in East Providence, RI, Gaylen Whittier has worked closely with SLN for over a decade on a wide range of projects and assignments.
Gaylen handles SLN's trade media placements as well as any consumer-focus print placements that may be needed. As an experienced designer and programmer, she brings valuable skill sets to the table and can counted on no matter what the task or time constraint.
Gaylen is a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Graphic Design. She has also done post-graduate work at the Rhode Island School of Design and Boston College.
